Bleeker Ridge - Small Town Dead

Posted on 17:53 by Unknown

This album starts off with a grinding modern rock ear bleeder then follows that up with a second heaping helping of aggressive guitars and gritty rock vocals all pulled together with a ten ton stomp drum track setting the album up very nicely. The album takes a slight turn to more radio friendly territory with some mid-paced rockers and a couple of slower tunes but all still very good though. The bands mellow material is just as strong and at times stronger than the upbeat numbers. A couple of songs are weak and could have been tossed but more often than not this band really gets it right.

Song Highlights: Pick Me Up, Small Town Dead, You Would've Liked It, From Now On, Sick Of You & Bitter Soul
