Plain White T's - Wonders Of The Younger
Posted on 16:04 by Unknown
A late year release for Plain White T's and one that should be on your list. The band nearly erased everything "Hey There Delilah" built for them when they recorded the follow-up Every Second Counts trying not to be pigeon holed into that songs structure. But then a couple more years later they figured out how to encompass their career making hit single with a delicious blend of power pop and folk rock elements. The bands latest is a wonderful slice of pop rock that if nothing else makes you feel good while its playing. Overall the album is strong and the filler isn't nearly as noticable on Wonders Of The Younger. The choice to include "Welcome To Mystery" from the Alice In Wonderland OST album Almost Alice was excellent as its such a great song. This is a winner and worth a purchase for yourself and all fans of power pop on your holiday shopping list.
Song Highlights: Rhythm Of Love, Broken Record, Map Of The World, Body Parts, Make It Up As You Go, Irrational Anthem, Our Song & 1, 2, 3, 4
