Lou Bega Yes Lou Bega Is Back With A New Album

Posted on 16:19 by Unknown

So the "Mambo #5" man has appeared for another kick at the can. Now remember this music is not meant for the mainstream and is really for the dance clicks around town. You know in Victoria we have the Swing City folks and the Country dancers and so forth they are the people who will really appreciate this music.

Lou does have some good tracks that are fun to sway along to like "Sweet Like Cola" & "Mommy Is Hot" both would keep those latin dancers happy the latter is a great cha cha. The real problem is that the music kind of all sounds the same. So really pull a song out for a mixed CD here and there and you'll find lots to enjoy. The very childish sounding caribean tune "My Day" will make a two year old dance in a second. This is one of the most catchy tunes on the album and has the ability to drive you insane. I will admit that I do enjoy the songs the more I listen to them but they will all run their course and quickly get to the enough already point. The track "Ballin" should be WWE superstar MVP's new theme song along with a new push and a slight character switch to a more smooth fun easy going dude.

If you absolutely love 50's infused latin dance pop with a touch of reggae then this is the album for you. If you love to partner dance then again here is one for you but this music doesn't stand up or have the staying power to be more than novelty pop. We like for now but not forever.
