Here is a perfect example of why Nashville sucks ass, Montgomery Gentry a short couple of years ago were the darlings of the country duo genre. They got some of the best songs for their albums from the resources of the pro's writing songs. Now since they've aged a little and aren't the monster hit achievers it seems the quality of material has been downgraded for them. This album has some really typical bullshit pro America numbers for their biker and military fans a couple of religious christian crap tunes and third rate outlaw country numbers. They really don't get a truly good song until "Simple Things" graces our speakers and I used that word because the drivel that's preceded it this song is the albums saving grace for not completely sucking. They do lame Skynrd meets Carrie Underwood on the tune "So Called Life" that sounds as if was lifted from the filler section of Underwoods last album. At this point I don't care if these guys ever release another album because if we get more of the shit material on Rebels On The Run there is no reason to listen let alone care.
