Bruce Springsteen - Wrecking Ball

Posted on 00:01 by Unknown
Here is another album from one of America's most overrated artists. I don't agree with the idea that Springsteen is one of the greatest rockers ever. His stuff is mostly folk music with some pop stuff tossed in and some alt. country music as well. Here we have Wrecking Ball his latest piece of work which has him reaching for his Born To Run sound while keeping his so called modern sound. The opening song is just another Bruce tune that goes absolutely nowhere new and lacks a memorable chorus.

His style then takes a Celtic turn I guess he suddenly became Irish or Scottish and had to teach all about Irish folk music as he chants "Shackled & Drawn" another song I've heard a thousand times by many artists. The true epic crap appears in the form of "Jack Of All Trades" another CCM song from the reborn christian USA. It makes me wonder if the world trade centre's attack was a concerted attempt to drive the dwindling religious followers numbers up and bring back American's to the church. This song has the sad clown parade beat which will probably end up on some TV shows ending sequence this year.

The Irish folk music returns on "Death To My Hometown" oh yeah baby more shitty Celtic music written by an egotistical republican from New Jersey. This is so what the music world needed in 2012 NOT! The whole you stole my jobs and I'm poor now and sad and it's your fault I feel that way theme gets old really quick. I'm sure that this album will get all the critical acclaim and be touted as the voice of Americans blah freaking blah. If you have any self respect you will not support this manufactured bullshit. This is more manufactured than Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and all the American Idol pop stars wrapped together.

There is not an ounce of me that finds this crap believable on any level this album sounds forced and plagiaristic. All Springsteen does it looks at what's happening in the news and such and then writes a bunch of songs that talks about the social issues and calls it art. That's not art that's called calculated research and manufacturing to play on peoples emotions getting them to buy your product. Now on a business level he's great he can suck the dollars out of a lot of stupid people's pockets with this terrible shit and good on ya Bruce. I can see through this falseness and I won't buy into the working mans band advertisement. Stay away from this shit and stop supporting such bad fucking music!
